Job Description

Position
Summary:
In this role, the candidate will decipher and convert the customer's specification into a workable test solution. The candidate will participate in creating automated and manual test plans, perform hands-on device measurements, characterization and optimization. Candidate will interface with design engineers, product engineers, and test engineers to validate device performance across various test conditions, debug, create compliance matrices and test reports, and present data in a clear and concise manner. Responsibilities include design validation activities, RF products testing, characterization and driving production readiness of high-performance FEM products. Products include PAs, PAMs, RF switches, RF duplexers typically used in the fast-paced and high-volume cellular market. The candidate will play a critical role in products realization, he/she will be working closely with design team conducting comprehensive testing and data collection, data preparation and presentation in an R&D environment.

The candidate will have the following job
Responsibilities:
Validating performance across supply, temperature and frequency
Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and presenting results summary
Typical RF measurements include but not limited to the following:
GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE/FDD-LTE/5G cellular PA characterizations
Load pull and source pull
Stability
Noise
S-parameters
Tuning RF front end modules in the lab
Evaluating RF parameters like IP3, P1dB, NF, return loss, etc

Qualifications

- Candidate must have BS and 2 years experience required or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Solid understanding of Tx/Rx module building blocks, including Power Amplifiers, LNAs, RF switches, Couplers, Filters
- Strong understanding of RF/microwave fundamentals like PAE, ACLR, Gain, NF, IMDs, VSWR, S-parameters
- Experience and familiarity with cellular systems, bands, test, 2G/3G/4G/5G related spec
- Experience and familiarity with testing, evaluation and troubleshooting RF, analog, and mixed signal IC designs in a lab environment. Should be proficient in the use of network analyzer, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscope, load & source pull systems
- Experience setting up and running bench and automated test setups with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure meters, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, temperature chambers, tunable filters, working with evaluation boards/automated setups including board-level rework
