Sleep Lab Tech II - CNRV Sleep Lab (Flex/PRN)

Sleep Lab Technologist to perform all aspects of overnight sleep studies to include set-up, recording, scoring, reporting, PAP and O2 titration, set-up and scoring of home sleep studies, patient education for all ages, and equipment cleaning. Also to serve as a liaison between DME companies, provider offices, and patients. Other duties as required. Successful completion of an accredited sleep educational program with RPSGT. Would consider RST/ABSM or SDS/NBRC. VA PSG state license required prior to performing patient care. One year experience required. BLS required.
Education:
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography.
Or
Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a sleep technician.
And
Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds Sleep Tech Credentials Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) and would consider Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
Experience: Work in AASM accredited sleep center for one year preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Virginia State License for Polysomnographic Technologist AND
- RPSGT by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists (would consider RST by American Board of Sleep Medicine or SDS by The National Board for Respiratory Care).
Obtain/Maintain current AHA BLS-HCP
