Procurement Specialist


The procurement specialist ensures that the items and services to build and maintain our manufactured products are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions. An important aspect of this role is seeking maximum value for the company through cost agreements.

Responsibilities:
Interfaces with Plant Manager to plan and prioritize purchasing activities.
Reviews planned orders, creates requisitions for purchased items, and manages approval process.
Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to supplier.
Tracks order acknowledgement, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports, and provides visibility of potential interruptions to the manufacturing process.
Tracks orders and confirms system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
Ensures orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts.
Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiency
Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the supplier base.

Qualifications:
Education Requirement:
A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Marketing or Manufacturing and minimum of 3 years experience. Business experience in purchasing or administration in support of a complex manufacturing operation is preferred.

Job Requirements:
An ability to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of procurement systems, purchasing policies and procedures.
Ability to drive complex projects to completion within a short period of time.
Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
Strong communication, analytic and robust problem solving skills.
Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications- primarily Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge and proficiency of Quick-books.

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 range dependent upon applicant qualifications.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
