A global automotive components manufacturer near Christiansburg, Virginia is looking for three Quality Engineers to support their metal machining and fabrication facility. These positions are open due to recent growth and reorganization. The Quality Engineers will work with customers and other Engineers to determine dimensional, physical and functional characteristics of new parts, and to continuously work to improve production processes. A 4-year technical degree is strongly preferred, but an AS degree with at least 5 years of automotive quality engineering experience will be considered. In either case, at least 3 years experience in the automotive metal machining, stamping or fabrication industry is required. Candidates must have experience in a TS16949 environment and be able to lead APQP and PPAP activities. Experience with internal auditing, root cause analysis, complaint investigations and supplier control is required. Previous interaction with automotive customers is a major plus. CQE, CQA, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certifications are also pluses. Hands-on experience with statistics (SPC, DOE, Cpk, etc) is strongly preferred. Candidates with a stable work record and recent automotive metal part manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. This position does not qualify for Visa sponsorship. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
