The Marketing and Communications Coordinator serves the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) by providing administrative support, coordinating meetings, logistics, and serving as a liaison for clients.
Being responsible for setup and development of effective, secure, and timely communications to, from, and between the Chamber's clients and Executive Board.
This coordinator will market the Chamber services by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and community events; maintaining databases; preparing reports.
All focus areas support the activity of the President and Member Services Director to enhance retention rates of members.
This position reports to the President & CEO.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update Chamber website, newsletter(s), and social media channels Works in conjunction with the President, Sales & Member Services, and Programming Directors to develop creative ideas for new events, programs, and services for members.
Designs weekly online Chamber newsletter for submission of approval by the President & CEO.
Builds and maintains a photo and/ or newsletter file for Chamber and community relations.
Create and sustain a constant supply of member and relocation packets.
Development and presentation of the marketing schedule and layout for all marketing materials for final approval by the President & CEO.
Creates all press releases and media packages.
Assist President & CEO in all correspondence.
Post various information, press releases, lists, and events via ChamberMaster and social media Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with the President & CEO, inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Supports staff and members by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information, relaying customer service requests.
Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
Expected to staff and assist in all Chamber programs.
Prepares follow-up correspondence for new members, sponsors, and advertisers.

Responsibilities:
This position has no direct staff supervisory responsibilities, but this is subject to change with notice.
Travel requirements:
This position requires some travel, local and outside the area.
